www.facebook.com/share/1Hk7c4xMrx/The Gospel reminds us that God’s love is generous and without limit. Jesus showed us how to love deeply and sacrificially, and we are called to follow in his footsteps, caring for others and standing together in unity.
This morning, that call feels more urgent than ever. In Gaza, the Holy Family Church and the only Catholic church in the region, was struck by a tank shell. Three lives were lost. Several others were wounded, including the parish priest, Father Gabriel Romanelli.
This comes in the same week as the killing of Dr Ahmad Qandil, a dedicated surgeon at Al Ahli Anglican Hospital. This is the eighth time Al Ahli’s staff or facilities have been hit.
So today, we stand in solidarity. We mourn with our Catholic brothers and sisters. We remember the more than 1,500 healthcare workers who have died since the conflict began, and the countless lives lost in both Palestine and Israel.

Another very special day. I spent the morning at The Anglican Communion Office, being introduced to their work and the work of those who inhabit the office space. Michael Hartfield, National Director of Anglican Missions NZ, and his colleague Mark Mitchell are held in extremely high regard.
Thanks to the brilliant work of Caroline Thompson and Grace Barlow, I had a time with the Rt Revd Anthony Poggo, The Secretary General of the Anglican Communion. Whilst our discussion was wide-reaching the focus was on – where are things working well and not so well in the Anglican Communion and why, and what can we be praying for from Greater Hastings. More to be shared on that in my report.
Then it was time for mid-week Communion. I was lucky to have a day when many people from all parts of the Communion were present. A superbly simple Eucharist led by the Rt Revd Jo Bailey Wells, Bishop for Episcopal Ministry in the Anglican Communion. It was a God-given time to reflect more on ministry and Jacob wrestling with God.
I have also deeply valued these times of prayer. … See MoreSee Less

I enjoyed St Martin’s. More great photos.
A very special and a deeply spiritual day!
Special – We had a personal tour of Lambeth Palace, the home and office of the Archbishop of Canterbury, hosted by Sammy Wainaina.
Spiritual – following the tour I was given time to reflect and prayer in the Crypt Chapel, before sharing in 12.30pm Eucharist in the Lambeth Chapel.
Today gave me space to prayerfully contemplate God’s call to ministry. … See MoreSee Less
