Celebration of 25 Years for St Matthew’s School

St Matthew’s Church on Saturday 31st October at 9.00am there will be a celebration to mark the 25th anniversary of St Matthew’s School. It would be wonderful to see you there.

The Waiapu Diocesan Synod (postponed from September) is now scheduled to take place in the Havelock North Community Centre on Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November. The opening service is being planned to be held in conjunction with the school’s 25th celebrations.

Blessing of the animals

We held our annual Pet Blessing service recently. Have a look at these reports!

Sunday 4th October at 4.00pm at St Matthew’s, Hastings, Nibbles and Nudge will hopefully be visiting again for the annual blessing of the animals. Do come with or without your animal companions. As for the past two years our service will be dedicated to the Leg-Up Trust, of which Nibbles and Nudge are active members.

All Souls Service – Remembering the dead

Sunday 1st November, 5pm

A service of Readings, Music, Prayers & an opportunity to light candles to remember loved ones who have died. This is a wonderful time to be able to remember those who died during our covid lockdowns, as well as those whom we carry in our hearts from a long time ago.

This is also a great opportunity to invite someone who may not attend church regularly, so put your thinking cap on.
